The European Union Choir was founded in 1958 and since 1960 it has been established as an international not for profit association with its social headquarters located in Brussels, Belgium. With around 80 members, our annual general assembly takes place each year by 30 June at the latest, with the aim of nominating the members of the administrative board, to allocate tasks and to approve the budget and accounts. Currently, the board is made up of 9 members.
Admission and recruitment into the European Union Choir is based on an audition. The candidate attends one of the rehearsals and then undertake one of the regular audition sessions in front of the musical director. Participation in the concerts is conditional on passing the admission test.
